Felix Lartey Aiming for Gold at World Table Tennis West Africa Regional Championship

Ghanaian Ping Pong Champion Felix Lartey is gearing up for the upcoming World Table Tennis West Africa Regional Championship. The tournament will be held from 24th to 27th April, 2023 at the Trust Sports Emporium in Accra, with over 8 West African countries participating.

Lartey, who plays for the Westchester Table Tennis Centre in the USA, is a national champion with an impressive record of international appearances, including 3 Commonwealth games, 3 African games, and other inter-continental competitions.

In an interview, he expressed his readiness and optimism for the tournament, saying, “I have really prepared for this competition, and I am poised for action. I have enough knowledge about the countries so I think it will help me a lot. Myself and other players will make Ghana proud.”

Lartey also stressed the importance of support from table tennis enthusiasts across Ghana, emphasizing that their support would play a major role in the team’s success.

“We need the support of Ghanaians. Let them come in their numbers to support us. We need to win with them, and it’s important during the competition,” he added.

Lartey’s dedication to the sport has not gone unnoticed, as he commended the efforts of the Ghana Table Tennis Association as well as his management at the Westchester Table Tennis Centre for the opportunity given to him.

At the championship, Lartey will be competing against other top-notch players in both singles and doubles events.
